Freestyle Friday

Let me throw two names out at you. Joe Rogan and Stefan Molyneux. I like both of these guys, a lot. They both get really deep on all sorts of great subjects. I listen to them both regularly. One of my only beefs I have with them is they both put on a really long show every day. Like on the tune of three hours a day. I don't have that type of extra time to spend, daily, even though it would be worth it. So, what I end up doing is picking and choosing from their shows every few weeks, or just randomly listening to them and sometimes I come across a great show.

Well, doing that random searching today, I came across the mother load, a show with them talking to each other. It was nothing less than three hours of two great uninhibited politically incorrect minds talking about anything that comes to mind. It was great and well worth the time spent.

So enjoy, or don't.

On Slacking and Slackers

I am kind of feeling a bit lazy of late. Kind of slacking one could say. Been reading a lot, on the net and actual books. I'm kinda in a mood today. Not a bad mood, just a mood. Instead of inteligently ranting on a subject as I normally do here at TOA. I am going to let someone else do that.

Peace.

Musings on Immigration

I will try to keep this short. (I've never said that before, I know...)

Farm Confessional: I’m an Undocumented Farm Worker

Men and Women like this need some sort of legitimacy. They need it so they can go back to where ever it is they came from and see their families, take care of business, what ever, and then come back and work. They need it so they can be protected under our laws, or maybe some sort of special laws for temp workers. Kind of like a military Status of Forces Agreement, or SOFA for us in the know. They need it so they can be differentiated from the people who are trying to immigrate to this country legally and illegally. They need it for lots of reasons.

I love the fact that she said there and never Americans working in the fields. That one always made me laugh. No American is getting a pink slip from picking strawberrys because some Mexican took their job. I agree with her that their needs to be better pay. If all fresh fruit and vegitables were 10% more expensive tomorow, and I knew that money was actually going to go to the workers, I would happily pay it. But, I know that most if not all hikes in prices will be eaten up along the chain somewhere before it gets to the worker.

I know some of you are going to be like "what chu talking about TOA?" Well, just look at our country. TOA is not anti immigrant, he was an immigrant. Well, not me, I am the voice of  TOA, I am talking about the people who came to this land and made this country. The original Orthodox Americans. Or the ones who took it over from the natives, but we are not talking about that today. Look how America came to have all the types of people it has. I just heard a storty about a typical day in the early 1900s on Elis Island. There were some days where 10,000 were proccesed through. On most days it was 5,000. Now look at ObamaCare, they can't even handle 6 people a day on the freaking internet! Maybe they should get some pencils and paper and set up some islands. Nah, you can't fix broke that easy. At least not something broke that big. I digress, kinda.

So, my solution, does it matter? I could have the best solution in the world, and it will never be considered or implemented. Congress with either do something stupid or do nothing at all.

I take that back. I do have suggestions. This could start being fixed by holding business feet to the fire. They can't give money to a worker who does not have the proper documentation. Make that documentation much easier to get. You hire someone with out, your whole chain of command from the person who hired to the CEO goes to jail. For even as something as short as a week or a month. That shit would stop right quick. Then knowing they can't get hired with out documentation, all workers would seek out getting said documentation. They would seek legitimacy, imagine that. So obviously it is the immigration system that is massively broke now since most seek illegitimacy. With little fear of the system. There will always be a black market and under the table, but most major farms and plants, would abide. Another idea would be to have a sponsor that would have to be held responcible for your actions. You and your guest would have to report to someone, kind of like a parole situation. Hey, it's just an idea, and I would probably have lots of problems with any situation they set up. But as far as I can tell, my 10 minutes of brain storming with myself is just as good or better then anything Congress has done in 40 or 50 years. Booya!

Peace Out, and it was not that short. I stopped, I could have gone on for much longer.

P.S. What really pisses me off is the American citizens who sit on their couches and do nothing and get free government money and services. There are jobs out there. I bet you can get a job in a field somewhere in America any day of the year. But many, or even most, who are on the government tit are too proud or lazy or have a million other excuses why they can't or won't do what this woman has done for going on 20 years. Maybe if there was no welfare or food stamps or Obama Phones, there would be more Americans in those fields working beside her. No effing excuse!

Tin Foil Tuesday

I know it's Wednesday, or at least that is what the powers behind the Gregorian calendar want you to believe!!! But how do we really know what day it is? Ask a Mayan or a Jew or an Assyrian. And they will all give you a different answer. Makes you wonder. Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care?

Regardless...

At what point does conspiratorial cross over to plausible and then to probable? And then maybe even on to truth?

As some of you know, English is not my first language, so sometimes I have troubles with your worlds and their meanings. I digest.

Conspiratorial to plausible to probable to truth.

ObamaCare: It’s not a failure, it’s Obama’s grand success.

Will we only know after it's too late? I would tend to agree with most, but that would imply competence and long term strategical thinking/plotting, and I don't think Obama, his handlers or his foot soldiers are capable of that. Especially not on that scale or time line. Or are they?

When will we know? Either after things get better or after they are much worse.

Keep calm and foil on.

La revolución de Russell Brand

This is some good great stuff. I agree with most of what comes of his crazy mouth. Why be complicit? Why feed and be part of the a broken/fixed system? Why do we have to pick between the lesser of two evils? In the US, the Democrats are awesome at creating and exacerbating problems. And the Republicans are great at exacerbating and creating problems. We all agree, there are many complex problems, and I stress MANY and COMPLEX. Some of the problems are old, and some of those problems are new. Group A and group B are the ones that created the problems. Why would be keep on putting them back into office? We don't have to pick from either group A or group B. We can pick group C or we can say, none of my choices are any good at all, I'm opting out.

He is also right, there will be a revolution, or maybe a few revolutions. As we have seen a few time in the past 100 years, power is not given up easily. We are seeing that now in Syria. How's it going to look in Boston? Or LA, or New York or Chicago. Will it be peaceful? Some dude or dudette will come off the street, speak to the people, get elected, and change everything. Unlikely. Will it be a little messy? Shut down food stamps for a few weeks and things will not be peaceful at all, they will for sure get messy. Or more like a civil rights or occupy, semi peaceful, semi messy, isolated skirmishes and deaths on both sides, leading to reforms, but not really change. Or like it always seems to end up, with a fearful state and an angry and hungry and  disenfranchised populous, that is normally dealt with or solved with jackboots and marshal law. None of those are impossible, they have happened around the world, over and over in the past century, on very large scales. Why would America be immune. America was born out of revolution.

The people who are in charge now, and people who will be running in 2014 and 2016 have no desire to change or fix things. They are the same people who have been part of the problem for most if not all of their adult life. They are A or B.

Like Russell, I can see there are problems, I don't have the answers, but I know sure as hell 99% of the people who will be on the ballot don't have the answers either, and truth be told, they aren't much interested in the answers, or even admitting there is a problem, or that THEY are the problem.

So, BZ to you Russel Brand, for being crazy, truthful and deadly accurate. Advice? No incumbents, vote third party, or opt out.

Easy Weekend Post

I am going to make it nice and easy for the readers of TOA this weekend. Today you don't even need to read. Just sit back and watch (or listen).

The first video is from Learn Liberty (Learn Liberty and Learn Liberty YouTube). As a few of my lefty type friends have said before, if we just tax the rich people more, all problems (money) will be solved. The government just needs more money. (1) Everyone knows deep down inside that is not true. The Government is very good at spending all they have, no matter what that number is. Not only do they spend it all, they spend it all, plus more! This video does a good job at breaking that down. It is short, and has graphics, so you do need to watch.

Does Government Have a Revenue or Spending Problem?

This next video will take it bit more for the non rational types to accept with an open mind. It is a video of Glenn Beck speaking. Gasp! Ahhh, Devil, Tea Bagger, Mormon! Ahhh. I know, but take a breath, a nice deep breath, and read, and watch. When you are done with this video, and you still are saying he is the devil, or the Tea Party is the devil, just imagine what you just watched as a transcript. Then imagine before you read that transcript you were told it was a transcript of Barack Obama, or Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren. Would you then be like, what a great speech, what a great message, what a great leader. Well, that is how I perceive GB. His words, his deeds, his message are all positive and if they were said by anyone from the Left, they would be hailed as great and wise. So, BZ GB, keep doing what your doing, and saying what you're saying. It's 17 mins, and you don't need to actually watch it, just listening is fine.

A few quotes from around the 13 min mark. The part that really made me want to share this:

Common sense eventually kicks in.
Let's treat each other with respect.
I don't need to control your life, you don't need to control my life.
Let's live like free men.
Let's live like decent Americans.

Glenn Beck speaks at #FixUpDC

Enjoy, or not.

(1) "We’re not broke, there’s plenty of money, it’s just the government doesn’t have it."

This is not fake, not from the Onion or anything like that. This is real. From real Progressive Lefty types. I am all for fair and just and necessary taxation, but one called the Robin Hood Tax strikes right at the heart of the Progressive mindset. Steal from the rich and give to the poor. Key word STEAL. More evidence that taxation is theft. It really is.

From a man of and from Reason

Truth, when read, is as lovely to the mind as classical music is to the ear.

Truth.

Ok, well maybe it is not "that" lovely, but it's still really good. And harder and harder to find in the media.

Divided Government Requires Bipartisan Negotiation

Congressman Eric Cantor, a Republican from Virginia. I don't have an opinion on him one way or another. In the photographs and articles the media provides us, they always portray him as eying the speaker-ship currently occupied by Boehner. Always looking to undermine the Speaker. I don't think that is the case. To me he seems like he is a two faced Republican. One face is the old school, old guard, pay your dues and some day you will be a gray beard type Republican. The other face is the lets shake things up a bit new guard but not quite in with the Tea Party types. I feel he is has much more invested in the first group.

To the point. This bit that he wrote in the Washington Post is spot on. He lays down what has got us into the situation we are in and how we got into the situation we are in. With this
rational rationale, I hope the GOP has the intestinal fortitude to hold out until Obama or Reid or both decide to make a move and come to the table and actually negotiate a comprises solution. Once and if that happens, neither side will get exactly what they want, but they both will get some. Otherwise known as compromise. Until then, no one gets nothing. And theirs nothing wrong with that.

I concur with Cantor.

On Rights and Settled Law

I am going to try to keep it short today. I know it might be hard to believe but I say that 9 out of 10 times when I sit down to write a post. I start the post just wanting to cut and paste the link, and it turns into you know, a long ass post.

So, back to keeping it short. There is no shortage of reading material on both the shutdown and ObamaCare. I have selected two for your reading enjoyment.

The first one is from The Objective Standard. I am warning those with aynrandphobia, this site's guiding principle is based much on her theory of Objectivism. I am not all in on Ayn Rand, but I can either agree with or accept most of when she put out. Not saying I love her as a person, though her life story is interesting, but what she wrote has a lot of merit, especially in the individual rights category. As does our Bill of Rights.

There is No "Right" to Healthcare

The second one is from The Washington Post. It has to do with "settled" law. A fresh and reasonable look at the situation in a way our Democratic leaders as well as our liberal citizens just can not accept, but at tactic and a view point they would use and have in a heart beat if the shoe was on the other foot.

Why Obamacare isn’t "settled"

Thats it. Fairly short and to the point. Enjoy, or do not enjoy, it is up to you.

Make It Hurt

I have not had much to say during this "partial" shut down. Why? It's all a ruse. I feel most, all, of it, is a intentionally constructed crisis. Like most crises over the past few years fit into one of two categories. One, made up to fuel a goal, or two, to cover up, an intentional act (IRS) or an act of incompetence (Benghazi). My new favorite word is ruse. It so perfectly describes this quagmire (slow your role on the fancy words man). This ruse is meant to reenforce the false dichotomy. Both sides had plenty of time to make some sort of compromise, but as normal, and as expected, they didn't. The Senate has not passed a real budget since I don't know when, a long ass time ago. The House has. CRs don't count. They are part of the reason we are where we are today. Each side is to blame. I more so see the Democrats and Whitehouse as to blame for much of this. The exceptions to unions and certain companies for ObamaCare really set the stage for this showdown. If the White house would have said, sorry, its the law, it applies to everyone as of 1 OCT 2013, then I don't think we would be where we are today. Or at least, the R's would not have leg to stand on on why they are doing what they are doing. Those exceptions give them that leg.

On to the actions since the "partial" shutdown. Who ever or why ever "they" have given all these orders to shut down shit that is not even theirs (the Federal Government) is where shit is starting to get out of hand. Private property, privet funding, eff off. Federal property private funding, eff off. Federal property, open air, not gates, guards or admission, eff off. Shut down means, stop normal activity if funding from the Federal Government runs something. Stop. Not do more and new work to deny access, and spend more money to show you're denying access. It means stop, walk away. Come back if and when we agree to something. The story below tell this story a bit better then I am. He is spot on.

Manning the Barrycades of punitive liberalism

As financially negative this is to my family and friends, and I do have close family and friends who are sitting at home right now, I would like to see it go on for a long time. How long, how ever long it takes for people on both sides to get pissed of at their side. They are all ready pissed off at the other side, as designed, but they need to get PISSED at their side. This is the only way the people (supporters of D's and R's) are going to be pissed off enough at their own side and vote their asses out. Clean house. All incumbents must go. If it gets solved fast, people will just stay in their camps and say good job the is useless Senators and Congressmen who caused this. And we will be back to status quo. The system will break and fall more and more often, until it can't. And then one day it will either shut down and never reopen or their will be nothing but Federal Law Enforcement enforcing and forcing the will of the particular brand in power and control over the American people. Dystopia.

And don't even get me started on the Executive. Who has again revealed and reenforced that he is truly "non-essential" as well as non-effectual during this whole evolution. I will however give him a BZ for talking to Iran for what ever if any part he had in it.

P.S. ObamaCare is NOT Apple. Namaste ;-)

On Credibility And Partisan Hacks (REMIX)

I posted this as a reply to a comment, but not knowing who would be able to enjoy it in that location I am riposting it as a post.
Anonymous Commented:

Still a partisan hack, I see. Color me unimpressed.

I replied:

Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for expressing your opinion. I am not at all interested in your color or if you're impressed or not.

For shits and giggles, what party am I wholly supporting the policies of and am perhaps even reluctant to acknowledge correctness on the part of their political opponents in almost any situation. In other words, who am I "hacking' for? Are you just critical because it's not yours?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partisan_%28political%29

If I was a partisan hack, assuming you believe I am hacking for the Republicans, why then would I have many posts and opinions that are not wholly supportive of the GOP? Why then why would my most current post be against the farm bill most of them support and defend. My post on Gay Boy Scouts does not at all align with Republican talking points. I don't support the amount and types of spending that is in the Defense bill. That bill is riddled with both Republican and Democrat pork with the sole purpose of protecting jobs of their constituents, not the needs of the military or the country. The military industrial complex is highly supported by the Republicans and its size and monetary appetite is hastening the downfall of country. Who am I hacking for again?

If and when, or if ever, the Democrats or a Democrat or a self identified Liberal or Progressive starts talking and acting in a way that I feel is appropriate and in line with more liberty and freedom and the Constitution and common sense I would love to point them out, maybe even praise them. I just don't see it. To be honest, I don't spend a lot of time looking for it.

This would be a great thing for Anonymous to help me with. Please if you can, or if you want, please help me notice Liberals or Progressives or Democrats who fight for legislation or repeal of legislation or in defense of anything having to do with more liberty more freedom the Constitution and common sense. I know the common sense one is subjective, but maybe I'll be in a statist mood one day and see the light, or maybe not.

In closing, being critical of a Party or an ideology or the current administration does not gain one membership in or to another.

Thanks for reading and kind of participating,

TOA
So, that's that. I think I could go on and on with examples and ideas and ideals that do not match up with the GOP. I feel I am floating between libertarian with a small L and Libertarian with a big L.

People can label themselves or each other as they want. If they self identify, that is when they need to start walking the talk. If they are labeled by others words and or actions need to back up those labels. That is what keeps most Democrats and Republican supporters and opponents occupied full time, looking for hypocritical words and actions in members of the other group. They only are hypocritical because they say or stand for one thing and do or say another. I don't care. I care about what they do or say, and if what they do or say aligns with more freedom, more liberty, the Constitution and if so applicable, the will of the people. Pointing out hypocrisy is not a hard game to play. It is a opiate of the political masses. It is MSNBC's whole schtick. I really don't care about hypocrisy. It is systemic in politics. You can't not have wealthy-ego maniacs, the type of people who mostly run for office, claim they fight for the poor or who ever, while they are all very well of and many times got there by being born to the right people or exploiting a people or system they claim to defend and want to "fix." Then they like the power their post comes with. That is how the system starts going to shit, and is in the state of shit that it is. That is why FOXNEWS has so much marital to work with with the Obama administration and all who it touches and all who support it. That was kind of what the post that Anonymous commented on was all about. The bummer state of our Administration. They (FOXNEWS) don't even need to bother with the reporting the hypocritical stuff, they can go right for the criminal and unconstitutional stuff. Easy pickens. Can anyone say term limits? That's an idea neither party likes. Who am I hacking for now?

I would love for readers, if they feel so inclined, to ask me pointed questions. Like the kind of questions we should be asking candidates during the vetting process or in debates. Like what is your stance on gay marriage? What is your stance on the legalization of pot? What would be your policy on x or y. If I cut and paste from the Republican web site, then Anonymous would be right in calling me a partisan hack. If I sound like Biden, you can call me crazy, I mean "Vice Presidential." If I sound like Obama you can call me "Presidential." If I sound like Jay Carney, oh man, that's a funny one. I digress, back to cutting and pasting my answers. I don't think that would be the case. If there was any cutting and pasting to be done it most likely would be from the Libertarian Party (www.lp.org) site or from my own grey matter. I would be fine with being associated with them. Or maybe from someone like Rand Paul or Ted Cruz or Ron Paul or maybe even a Berny Sanders. Cruz and the Pauls, although on paper they are Republicans, they do not act at all like or in line with the other Republicans. They are the true RINOs. They have signed under that party because it is the only way to break in to the two party system. Oh the two party system, what a disservice to the country. Look for a post on that some day.

I am done for now. Some will like this post, some will not, and some will see it as expanded political hackness. I am not in the business of pleasing anyone or everyone. I think I am succeeding.

The Sad State of the American Farm

There are so many good things happening in the small farming movement. Maybe I will do some posts on that someday. But lets focus on the bad today. Its not hard. Just look at 95% of our food industry. How our vegetables and grains are grown and used. How our meat, eggs and dairy are grown and used. All bad and perverted. It baffles the mind, kinda like space, just how much shitty and down right criminal and inhuman and inhumane things that are happening in the large farming industry. Monsanto. Corn. GMO. Subsidies. Monsanto. GMO. Monsanto. Bad after bad after bad. I am going to share two things today, no, three, that are a good snapshot of this state of shit.

One. This article from a fairly decent site: The farm bill is back and it sucks.

Two. The original Chipotle ad/video/song. The message is great. The song is great. Willy's way of singing it is great.

Three. The newest Chipotle ad/video/song. This one is a bit more disturbing, and I like that. I showed both of them to my six year old little girl. She did not like them. The tone of the music did it's job and she did not feel good about what she was seeing after she was explained a few of the parts.

We need to fix our food system bad. It is a big part of the reason our health is so broken. Its like the GOV and the BIG AG and HEALTH CARE, don't want us to be healthy. They have spent years and bazillions constructing this system. It wouldn't be good for business for it to change for the benefit of humans. Hmmmm. Nah, that couldn't be. That's conspiratorial type talk...

So, if you were feeling good this fine Sunday, this might have taken some of that away. That is exactly what needs to happen. This needs to piss us off. Best way to beat this. Vote against all that are for anything that feeds this system. That makes up about everyone who is in office right now. The real best way to beat this is opt out. Grow your own. Buy from real farmers. Stay healthy. Let their system kill it self as it most likely will, eventually. Till then, opt out.

Oh yeah, update on some other shit, things still suck in paces like Syria, most of Africa, North Korea and oh yeah, some little place called Detroit. Peace.

Proof Of Life Post

I am alive. Busy, enjoying life. Lot's going on. Stressers, most of them good.

This blog is alive, barely. Bread and water rations.

WARNING: Reading any further increases your chance of being bummed out. Do not consume alcohol or operate heavy machinery during or immediately after reading this post. Contact your doctor immediately if your are bummed out for more then four hours. Continue at your own risk.

Here is a link to a site I came across the other day. It is fun, amusing, interesting and scary all at the same time. It is where the American Left goes to look at what real Leftyism is. It is what people who want to be progressive want. It's what the Democrats think they see when they look in the mirror. But right now, it is one of those bendy carnival mirrors. Right now the American Left other wise know as the Democratic Party is all confused. They elected the most liberal, to the left, most anti war Senator in the Senate, and he turned in to Bush light with spending and civil liberties problems. He gave us Biden, and Clinton and Holder and Big Sis and that HHS Lady. They gave us IRS, Fast and F, NSA, Benghazi, ObamaCare (Oct 1st, it's gonna be awesome, just wait) and general over all government dysfunction. They broke it, we bought it. Thanks. Ego, incompetence, bad luck, all of the above? Everything is not their fault, but how they act and react is all their fault. We put him there, he put them there, we let him, them, do what they are doing. So, I guess, its OUR fault. Unless you only listen to state approved sources, they will tell you it is the Republicans fault and or extremists in their party. Leadership by blame, awesome. Hopeful, I am. Optimistic, I am not.

Enjoy.

End the Fed by Deleting it

Happy Sunday all. I almost posted this to my Facebook. Then I was like what the hell am I thinking? That is why I, we, have TOA.

A story from Reason about ending the fed.

I know some of you are for this, and some are against this, and some don't know what the hell this is.

If you are in the first group, good for you. You are on the side of right and rational and can see and understand just how bad off we are and how we got there. You are familiar and agree with Ron Paul, that is a good thing. History will confirm that. BZ.

If you are in the second group. Well, there might not be any helping you. You might not be the problem, but you are not helping the solution. Sheep are not totally to blame for how they are shepherded. Bah. The message and the knowledge has been out there for a while, and you seem to be really ok with how things are going, monetary policy wise, and want them to keep on going on the same path. Oh by the way, that path leads to a cliff that we will all go off. Print more, print more, print more. Just keep on chanting. If you do feel brave enough to comment on how I am wrong and all is well, please do. You most likely will not change my mind, but you might reenforce what you believe, prolonging your feel good statist state of mind.

If you are in the last group, welcome to earth. Look at what one dollar can by now compared to a century ago. Look at what an ounce of gold can buy now compared to a century ago. To make it easy, what can you buy then with $1500ish and now. Big difference. Look at who is supposed to set monetary policy, constitutionally. Look at our nations "wealth" it is based on debt. That debt taken out by one generation for the next to pay. That is about as wrong as it gets. Look into honest money. Money with something backing it, not a legal group of criminals who write numbers in a book hence creating money in collaboration with a fancy printing press. It will all fall some day. I hope you have taken steps in your own personal lives to weather out the storm that is coming.

I will have TOA tin foil hats for sale soon.

Peace.

TOA Post Sighting, Uncorroborated.

Hello loyal readers and new readers. It has been a long time. Like I have said before, the lack of posts on this blog does not in anyway indicate I am happy with the world or our country and or think the President and his ilk are doing a good or even a satisfactory job. They are not. Not even close.

Benghazi. IRS. DOJ. NSA. Fast and Furious. Obamacare Train wreck. Anything from the Left.

All that being said, I have been hitting the news cycle pretty lightly lately. Not reading too much. It was absolutely silly how much coverage the Trayvon/Zimmerman trail got, and how little coverage dozens of other black on white crime have gotten. I expect no less. Syria is getting worse. Red line after red line. Over 100,000 dead. Oh well. Clinton had Darfur and Obama will have Syria and he will hope history books gloss over those dead instead hoping they write about how he was the first black president. Bla bla bla.

I have seen a few articles here and there that I like, but this one really caught my eye. It is from (the chick being interviewed who I guess is big or known in some circles, enough to get an interview) a self proclaimed Libertarian but she also says she is a registered Democrat. I don't know how that is possible, but to each their own. So, the person being interviewed, not the interviewer gave some really on the mark stuff about the likely Democrat 2016 chosen one. I will cut and paste the relevant part for the lazy readers. The over achievers can click the link and read the whole thing.

It's been nice taking the time off (from paying attention and helping other to pay attention), and I plan to stay on the wagon as much as I can. I did enjoy and appreciate all those I talked to when I visited Massachusetts who said they really enjoyed reading this blog. That was really good to hear, and I appreciate each and every one of you. Thanks.

Here is the link and the paragraph I mentioned. I case you didn't know, Salon has a severe Left leaning limp, but once in a while stumbles upon some truth. Enjoy. My personal favorite part "...Hillary disqualified herself for the presidency in that fist-pounding moment at a congressional hearing when she said, “What difference does it make..." Never gets old. Enjoy.

Any hopes, fears or predictions for the presidential elections in 2016?
As a registered Democrat, I am praying for a credible presidential candidate to emerge from the younger tier of politicians in their late 40s. A governor with executive experience would be ideal. It’s time to put my baby-boom generation out to pasture! We’ve had our day and managed to muck up a hell of a lot. It remains baffling how anyone would think that Hillary Clinton (born the same year as me) is our party’s best chance. She has more sooty baggage than a 90-car freight train. And what exactly has she ever accomplished — beyond bullishly covering for her philandering husband? She’s certainly busy, busy and ever on the move — with the tunnel-vision workaholism of someone trying to blot out uncomfortable private thoughts.

I for one think it was a very big deal that our ambassador was murdered in Benghazi. In saying “I take responsibility” for it as secretary of state, Hillary should have resigned immediately. The weak response by the Obama administration to that tragedy has given a huge opening to Republicans in the next presidential election. The impression has been amply given that Benghazi was treated as a public relations matter to massage rather than as the major and outrageous attack on the U.S. that it was.

Throughout history, ambassadors have always been symbolic incarnations of the sovereignty of their nations and the dignity of their leaders. It’s even a key motif in “King Lear.” As far as I’m concerned, Hillary disqualified herself for the presidency in that fist-pounding moment at a congressional hearing when she said, “What difference does it make what we knew and when we knew it, Senator?” Democrats have got to shake off the Clinton albatross and find new blood. The escalating instability not just in Egypt but throughout the Mideast is very ominous. There is a clash of cultures brewing in the world that may take a century or more to resolve — and there is no guarantee that the secular West will win.

Not seeing eye to eye with the holy see.

Hello O faithful TOA readers. So, there’s a lot going on in our country and world uh? You may ask why so few posts from me. Well, it is almost an over target saturated environment. Not almost, it is. I would have to spend hours every day researching and writing, and I just don’t have the will or the time to do so.
I will steer clear of the every growing laundry list of Obama scandals. They are almost just too easy. I mean, John Stewart looks like an Obama basher and all he is doing is actually reporting. Many of the Lefty sites are having a hard time not reporting and criticizing the President. They try, they focus on long standing complaints like genetically modified crops, or fracking, or the XL pipeline, or poverty, or hoping the SCOTUS will come out waiving rainbow flags. They’re really trying. But in the end they can’t ignore it all and they have to talk about the drone killings, the NSA spying, the chilling of the first amendment and the free press by the DOJ and all the other scandals the most transparent administration ever is wallowing in. The love affair is over, and the Hope and Changers feel dissed.
I am instead going to point to an open letter from a Catholic Priest to House Minority Leader, the former most dangerous Democrat in America, the champion of ObamaCare, the queen hypocrite herself, Nancy Pelosi. That was a long and glorious introduction, and it still did not do her justice. She is way over ripe as a public servant. Numerous fishy things in her past, but one of the consistent ones is her insistence that she is a Catholic and not only her stance on abortion, but her actions in the United States House of Representatives to secure and advance the “right” to abortion.
I have talked in previous posts about abortions. You can search and read if you like. I know a little bit about Catholicism. I was born and raised as a “casual” Catholic. I even made it so far as to be confirmed, until I kind of admitted to myself I really just didn’t believe in the whole deal. I enjoy and respect the bible as I do most religious texts. I like Jesus, as I like Siddhārtha Gautama. All of their words, teachings and actions are sound and can help humans be better humans. On the subject of abortion, WWJD, well IMHO he would advise against. If she went ahead with it anyway and realized her error and wanted forgivness, he would give it. That is what "I" think now. I have to admit, I don’t think I even knew about abortion and the church's stance on it until years after I “left” the church. I can write that because my grandmother does not go on the internet, so she for sure would never read this. Back to Nancy Pelosi, she needs to “leave” the church for the same reason I did, her views do not align with the leaderships views on abortion. It is a club for like minded individuals. The church’s views and hers are not like minded. If she believes in god or God if she is a true believer and all the other stuff that goes along with it. I am sure she can find a church, especially in San Francisco that would welcome her and her views in. Especially if she actually tithes! Cha-ching!
Bottom line, it is not the religions place or job to change to align with Nancy Pelosi. She needs to get in line with them, or leave. At a minimum, she needs to stop saying she is a Catholic, where her words and actions do not align with the Catholic Church. I know there is nothing anyone, human or divine, could do to make her to stop avoiding answering legitimate questions, but it would be nice if she did that too. There is little chance she will do any of that, but this should serve as another among many reasons why Catholics should not and cannot support pro abortion politicians.
Live long and prosper.

Things are starting to get ridiculous.

Wow! The hits just keep on coming. I could go on and on, but will try to keep short and avail some links for your reading pleasure. I am going throw some words out that have come to mind lately. Amateurish, incompetence, criminal, arrogance, unconstitutional, expected, impeachment, scared, worried.

As on most days and on most things Rand Paul was sounding more presidential than Barack Obama ever has. Plus, anytime anyone accurately evokes the novel 1984, I smile. Here he is being awesome, as usual. And bonus, it's on Reason.com.

Rand Paul being awesome on Reason.com.

A bit more on Obama's 1984.

Best line of the day. Why does Obama talk like Rand Paul and govern like Dick Cheney?

Shit, if he just talked like Rand and acted like Rand, I would both like and support the guy. Maybe even admire. And it would work. Things would get better. America would get better. Americans would get better. Alas, he doesn't and he won't. Sad. Sad for America.

Here is a little reality from the Brits who broke this Verizon/NSA story. Decline.

Not the teleprompter!

The NYT is sad on the inside.

Update: A day later the NYT softens is sadness.

Even the Huff is sad, on the outside.

I hope everyone has a great "Aloha" Friday and a great weekend. And remember, Big Brother is watching. No, he really is!

LeftTruthOut = Minitrue?

Here is another thoughtful, no, entertaining, no, frightening article from LeftTruthOut. It is a site similar to LeftyNet just more to the left.

I wonder if the author and his ilk would view the counter culture of the 1960's in the same light? Did they too have roots in the prewar south? They too were not interested in wars of aggression. They too did not trust the government. They too wanted less government up in their business. They too didn't want to pay taxes to the man. And legalization of pot and other drugs. That was the point, man!  I could go on and on with the similarities. But I am sure the writer and his ilk are not interested in facts or opinions other than their own. I would expect nothing less from a writer who has contempt for the same groups that our President and his administration also has contempt for.

This one actually reads like a retelling of the truth/history according to the new official story from the Ministry of Truth. Winston Smith would be very proud of this author. All necessary historical facts have slightly been altered to support the new truth/history. A fair amount of old truth/history is mixed in with new truth/history to make the reader actually question what if anything had been altered. Just remember, Oceania has always been at war with Eurasia.

Actual artical I am talking about ----> Anti-Government Extremism Has Roots in Prewar South

Foxphobes, if you don't like the truth, up your dosage

WARNING: If you are a Foxphobe or suffer from BDS or FNDS, please take your meds before reading.

I'm feeling a bit lazy today so I am going to let someone else do most of the talking. Andrew Breitbart was a great man and a great American. He was not only interested in the truth and rights of a free press, but also the responsibility of a free press to inform the people. He did that well. Truth to power. Not a popular thing with the Obama regime. His untimely death was tragic for his family, but thankfully the outstanding news establishment he left behind is carrying on his work and doing it well. Keep up the good work!

Here are two stories from Breitbart. The DOJ/AP/FoxNews story is growing. I mean, this is bad as a stand alone scandal/abuse of power/crime, but combined with the others, it is only magnified.

Fox-News-vs-the-Cult-of-Obama

The-Ailes-Manifesto

P.S. I don't watch that much FoxNews. I like Bill O, most of the time. Remember most can be 51% and sometimes my like sinks to that level. I like The Five. I heart Dana Perino. Every word that comes out of her mouth is well thought out and spot on. I like Cavuto a lot. Not a big fan of Sean H. And I don't watch any of there other news shows. I don't watch it at home, so any exposure I have is while I am at work. I spend almost zero time at their web site. Unless Drudge links to them. I do however, support what they do. Esspeically, beating the crap out of the lame and liberal media in ratings. And I double esspcially like that they are under the skin of the Obama administration and the Democrats and Liberals as a whole. Truth with opinion is still truth. Keep up the good work.

Can this even be fixed?

There is so much going on for the political watcher right now, it is almost overwhelming. No, it is overwhelming. I was talking to a person who will remain anonymous, he/she did not know about most of the big things going on, or the depth of most things that are going on. Then he/she said something that was very thought provoking. How can this be fixed? I was semi at a loss. I was so into the problem, I wasn't spending much time thinking about a solution. The answer is, I don't know if this can be fixed. When I forced myself  to answer, I came up with these solutions, if you can call them that. All are solutions that will stop or slow each scandal and protect Obama.

The AP and now Fox News scandal. Most of the press is in Obama's and the Democrats pocket. But those who occasionally ask too many questions, need a little extra scrutiny. The AP did that a few times, and got looked at. Fox News does that for a living. Obama and the Dems have been out for them since day one. They a have a negative effect on the President, the Democrats, the States narrative. Obama wants what the government puts out as the story, to be the story, end of story. Fox News does not let that happen. Rush, Sean, Glenn, Savage, Drudge, I could go on, they all do not let that happen. That is called journalism. That is call the free press. And thank god for them. No, actually, thank our founding fathers for them. They are what the first amendment and freedom of the press is all about. They effect the narrative and they question narrative. The stop or slow the spin the President is trying to put out from becoming "truth." Most of what the President says to us his him trying to sell something to us. Fox News isn't buying it. They are needed. A free society can not function with out them. The President, his administration and his party can't stand them. They took action. They chilled free speech by going after those who practice free speech, only when it doesn't match up with what the State puts out. That does not jive with the law or the Constitution. Good Fox News. Bad DOJ

How this can be fixed. The Attorney General Eric needs to throw himself under the bus. He needs to say the all actions started with him and ended with him. He then needs to resign. Obama then needs to opinion a moderate or a conservative in the AG for the rest of his term. Obama, protected.

P.S. And while Holder is under the bus, he needs to come clean on Fast and Furious. Bus bonus.

LeftyNet on the subject.

WaPo on the subject.

Benghazi. What a cluster. What an ever changing official story. Lie after lie. Inconsistent story after inconsistent story. People died. Cause? Incompetence up and down the chain. Desire to protect the President and Hillary Clinton's chances (at least as the Democratic candidate) at becoming president in 2016.

How this can be fixed. The former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton needs to throw herself under the bus. She needs to say, she ordered the units to stand down and not go in and help. She has to say it was her idea to change the wording on the talking points. She has to say it was her idea and her idea alone to use the YouTube video as a scapegoat and diversion. She has to then make it very clear, even if it takes a press statement, that she will not seek the presidency in 2016. She has to say it was her call, she blew it and she is not fit for further office. Obama, protected.

The targeting of conservative groups by the IRS. Wow, this grows every day. This is big. I would say Watergate or Iran Contra big, but they did not effect as many people and did not effect theirs rights a much and those two didn't effect an election like this one did. This is big. I think I said it before, but if this would have broke, last year, when they knew about it, we would be a few months into Romney's first term. This is the government targeting and harassing and denying rights to thousands of its own citizens. This also had a chilling effect on fund raising and civic participation. This will not die or go away any time soon.

How this one can be fixed. (Teeth suck) I don't know that it can. Even if it was low to mid or even semi-senior people at the IRS, and even if they take the fall, I don't think this goes away. I don't think the President can stay insulated and protected from this one. I mean even if he puts those responsible in jail, it was still the climate that he fostered and the lengths which people felt they could go, out side the law to help him gain and maintain power. That is rotten to the core. The core. Nixon didn't order or suggest the break ins at the Watergate, and he resigned. Is this similar, maybe? This is hard to say, but I think this one can only be fixed by either impeachment or resignation. Will either of those things happen? I don't know. I can't say I want either of those things to happen. They are a sign of an unhealthy government. An unhealthy country. Even if impeachment or resignation happens, what will that fix or change. Then we will have Biden. I am sure his finger prints are on this somewhere. Even if it is or was a suggestion he made that we (those government officials and employees down with the cause) need to fight the groups that hurt the Presidents narrative, that is the tone and culture that was set up and down the chain, and how we got to where we are. Rotten to the core. Obama, not protected.

So, I have a solution for two, but not for the third. This is just one mans opinion. How I see, or could see things playing out. Not necessarily how I want things to play out. Either way, Obama's second term agenda is DOA. That is both good and bad and a topic for another post.

P. S. Jay Carney, who I like zero and respect even less, has to go. He has to go not for me, but for himself and for the President. He has been the Whitehouse's official liar for a while now. He does not even do it very well. He needs to resign because he has been under the bus for a while now. A bus that is constantly running over him forward, then putting it self in reverse and running him over backwards. Over and over and over.  He is shafted daily by this administration. Not being told stuff. Being told different stuff. And having to day after day, tell a new or a new current truth. The press core no longer trust him. Most of them never did. He has avoided or not answered more questions than he has ever answered. If he has any self respect he will leave. Who to replace him? How about a web site and the President himself.

Dirty Bills

I want to take a little break from all the glorious scandles that are rocking Obama's liberal utopia this past few weeks and talk about something different. The giant "farm" bill is an example of what else is wrong with bussniss as usual in DC. It is expensive and not in best interests of the tax payers or the country as a whole to keep combining unrelated spending into bills to to get them passed. Business as usual is not good business.

Grouping unrelated spending together so a bill can taste a little good and a little bad to everyone so both "sides" can get their pet spending projects passed is a rip off. Here is a great artical about the agriculture bill, also called the farm bill. They lump in food stamps into this bill. Why? Unless the farmers are growing the food to give to the food stamp recipiants these things have nothing to do with each other. According to this article, 75% of the "farm bill" spending is food stamps. Why even call it a farm bill? Call it a food stamp bill with a little farm on the side.

We need to break these giant bills up in to much smaller bills and have them only address one subject at a time. Craft, and vote on, and spend money on agriculture. Then craft, vote and spend money on food stamps. If you can't get it passed with out coating in with honey, it shouldn't be passed. If a bill can't stand on its own, it shouldn't stand. This is not the only example of this, the Defense spending bill is literally thousands, if not millions, of times worse. Americans wouldn't group there beer budget in with their car maintenance budget and we shouldn't let politicians do the same with our country's budget or money. Lets clean up these dirty bills. Enjoy.

Incompetence, Lies and Incontinence.

Good morning readers. The last two weeks, Washington wise, have been crazy. You would think, and I would have thought, that this type of political activity would have led me to multiple, lengthy posts. Well it just happens that I actually have some other stuff going on in my life. The past two weeks have been both fun, not fun, and a lot of work. I say all that to say this, I’m sorry I have not updated. As I can see it, there were or are four big storied out in the past two weeks. Benghazi, Gosnell, IRS and AP. Those are in no specific order, but my hopefully short analysis and opinion on them will be.

Let’s start with Gosnell. One of my recent post brought out how sickening what this man, and many like him do. And as a reader brought out, what he did was against the law. My only comment on that is that is a pretty fine, manmade, law that decides one day it is abortion, and the next is murder. I know that is over simplified but it is closer to the truth than not. Well, the trail is over, he was found guilty of murder, as he should have and he is going away to prison for life. That is good. The attention this trail got for the abortion subject is also good. It seems the pro-life and pro-abortion people always will snipe back and forth, election or not. But this trail was in an off election time and had photos and testimony of the dark side of abortion. If there is a light side? This is what we need more of. If we wait until a few months before elections and let the candidates shape what and how we talk about will be always be either sheep or slaves to them. That is not a government of, for and by the people works. Let’s hope more of this gets brought into light, as a headline out of TX just said and we continue to talk about it, and it does come up next election. Done with that.

Secret DOJ AP phone taps. Big story, only because the media belongs to Obama and the liberals. And friends spying on each other hurts friendships. It is to the point where all the DOJ would have had to do is ask and the AP most likely would have assigned an intern to just help with this matter. They didn’t. They went all secret and phone tappy. Media sad. Media felt betray. BFF and the willing to insulate and protect the President and his administration, diminished. This story has little legs, but it along with the other things that are going on is just another chink in the armor that is the love affair between the lame stream media and the Obama.

Benghazi. This one has always been big and this was proven the other day by the president himself. His quote, “there is no there there.” Whenever anyone high or low says there is nothing to see here, move along. Stop and look. There is serious there there. The there that is there is the damage to the reputation and presidential chances of Hillary Clinton. This is a longevity, power and control crisis in the Democrtic party. The there that is there is the proof of gross incompetence. With that incompetence is a layered cake of lies that started on day one and is still being built higher and higher nine months later. Then the arrogance of that woman to actually stay, not just say, but yell, “what difference does it make,” just shows she is not fit for any further or higher public office. For Americas sake, the title of former Secretary of State needs to her political apex. She needs to be done. Incompetence, incompetence and maybe even a little incontinence.

Last and biggest is the IRS’s treatment of conservative groups. Holy shit this is big. Remember, Nixon did not order or suggest or whatever any of those men to do what they did. But what he did do was set a tone and surround himself with people who are willing to do whatever, and I mean whatever it takes to seize and hold on to power. This is no different and most likely even bigger. The same attitude that those ACORN workers had, those IRS workers had. All of Obamas men and women have. Help the cause at any cost. They are foot soldiers and pawns. If they go down, fine it was for the greater cause. I actually admire that in some sick way. But since I am on the victim side, that would be the side of law and justice and America, this is a pile of shit. If this story would have broken when it should have broken at least one year ago, when the administration had knowledge of it, in the middle to tail end of the election, Obama would have been done and Mitt Romney would have been elected president. I do not know if this this will get to impeachment levels, it should, but it has and will tarnish the anointed ones record. However thin and faulty that record may be. And if justice prevails, it will tarnish the record of the Democratic Party and lead to great and glorious Republican, Tea Party and Libertarian victories in the next few elections. It is a pipe dream, but pipes are real, and dreams are real, and stranger things in history have happened.

That about sums it up. All these things have legs of all different sizes, and I would have no problem with them walking all the way until campaigns start. The lame duck was showing himself early, all this just accelerated the process. My only fear is that a wounded animal can be more dangerous than a healthy one. Especially one that knows his expiration date. Got nothin to lose.

Cue electric guitar...Warren Zevon where you at?

I'm hiding in The Whitehouse
I'm a desperate man
Send lawyers, guns and money
The shit has hit the fan

I'm not a chicken farmer but...

I think some of the Presidents chickens are coming home to roost.

Benghazi (there is a lot of there there)

Gosnell ruling going wrong way

Secret phone recording of the AP

IRS targeting conservative groups for years

...and those are only in the past week.

Talk among yourselves.

Sorry, I have a busy night. I hope to post at least one, if not two new posts this week.

Moms and Guns

Every Mother or Father or any person who's charge is the safe keeping of children should be able to carry a gun whenever and wherever they want, if they choose. Period.

Have a happy and safe Mothers Day!

The True Consiquences Of Magazine Capacity Limits

It's Saturday morning and I am feeling a bit lazy. So instead of a well thought out and writen opinion peice on a topic relivant to our times, and there are many, I thought I would let you enjoy this short film.

It very accurately depicts why limiting magazine capacity for law abiding citizens is not just stupid and unconstituional, it is also dangerious. We would not dream of telling a police sergeant or an army sergeant how many rounds he or she may carry in his or her magazine, so way do we think it is ok to or in many states actually is the law to have this limitation on law abiding citizens? Armed citizens are the true first responders. They have to deal with the criminals in their own houses and cars and on the streets. Then we call the cops. Sounds a little backwards to me.

One thing we can certainly learn from this video, actually what this video can learn from Our Leader, Second in Charge, the Honorable Vice President Joe Biden. If this guy just would have had a shotgun and fired it through the front door, all would have been fine. I am sure there is some law against killing people through your front door, but never mind that. I guess your just supoed to hope they are not census workers or the pizza guy. Keep blastin Joe!

Gun regulation is unconstitutional and dangerous. Oppose any new infringement of our rights and work to repeal current infringement on our rights. It most likely will save a life, or hundreds, or thousands.
