End the Fed by Deleting it

Happy Sunday all. I almost posted this to my Facebook. Then I was like what the hell am I thinking? That is why I, we, have TOA.

A story from Reason about ending the fed.

I know some of you are for this, and some are against this, and some don't know what the hell this is.

If you are in the first group, good for you. You are on the side of right and rational and can see and understand just how bad off we are and how we got there. You are familiar and agree with Ron Paul, that is a good thing. History will confirm that. BZ.

If you are in the second group. Well, there might not be any helping you. You might not be the problem, but you are not helping the solution. Sheep are not totally to blame for how they are shepherded. Bah. The message and the knowledge has been out there for a while, and you seem to be really ok with how things are going, monetary policy wise, and want them to keep on going on the same path. Oh by the way, that path leads to a cliff that we will all go off. Print more, print more, print more. Just keep on chanting. If you do feel brave enough to comment on how I am wrong and all is well, please do. You most likely will not change my mind, but you might reenforce what you believe, prolonging your feel good statist state of mind.

If you are in the last group, welcome to earth. Look at what one dollar can by now compared to a century ago. Look at what an ounce of gold can buy now compared to a century ago. To make it easy, what can you buy then with $1500ish and now. Big difference. Look at who is supposed to set monetary policy, constitutionally. Look at our nations "wealth" it is based on debt. That debt taken out by one generation for the next to pay. That is about as wrong as it gets. Look into honest money. Money with something backing it, not a legal group of criminals who write numbers in a book hence creating money in collaboration with a fancy printing press. It will all fall some day. I hope you have taken steps in your own personal lives to weather out the storm that is coming.

I will have TOA tin foil hats for sale soon.

Peace.

TOA Post Sighting, Uncorroborated.

Hello loyal readers and new readers. It has been a long time. Like I have said before, the lack of posts on this blog does not in anyway indicate I am happy with the world or our country and or think the President and his ilk are doing a good or even a satisfactory job. They are not. Not even close.

Benghazi. IRS. DOJ. NSA. Fast and Furious. Obamacare Train wreck. Anything from the Left.

All that being said, I have been hitting the news cycle pretty lightly lately. Not reading too much. It was absolutely silly how much coverage the Trayvon/Zimmerman trail got, and how little coverage dozens of other black on white crime have gotten. I expect no less. Syria is getting worse. Red line after red line. Over 100,000 dead. Oh well. Clinton had Darfur and Obama will have Syria and he will hope history books gloss over those dead instead hoping they write about how he was the first black president. Bla bla bla.

I have seen a few articles here and there that I like, but this one really caught my eye. It is from (the chick being interviewed who I guess is big or known in some circles, enough to get an interview) a self proclaimed Libertarian but she also says she is a registered Democrat. I don't know how that is possible, but to each their own. So, the person being interviewed, not the interviewer gave some really on the mark stuff about the likely Democrat 2016 chosen one. I will cut and paste the relevant part for the lazy readers. The over achievers can click the link and read the whole thing.

It's been nice taking the time off (from paying attention and helping other to pay attention), and I plan to stay on the wagon as much as I can. I did enjoy and appreciate all those I talked to when I visited Massachusetts who said they really enjoyed reading this blog. That was really good to hear, and I appreciate each and every one of you. Thanks.

Here is the link and the paragraph I mentioned. I case you didn't know, Salon has a severe Left leaning limp, but once in a while stumbles upon some truth. Enjoy. My personal favorite part "...Hillary disqualified herself for the presidency in that fist-pounding moment at a congressional hearing when she said, “What difference does it make..." Never gets old. Enjoy.

Any hopes, fears or predictions for the presidential elections in 2016?
As a registered Democrat, I am praying for a credible presidential candidate to emerge from the younger tier of politicians in their late 40s. A governor with executive experience would be ideal. It’s time to put my baby-boom generation out to pasture! We’ve had our day and managed to muck up a hell of a lot. It remains baffling how anyone would think that Hillary Clinton (born the same year as me) is our party’s best chance. She has more sooty baggage than a 90-car freight train. And what exactly has she ever accomplished — beyond bullishly covering for her philandering husband? She’s certainly busy, busy and ever on the move — with the tunnel-vision workaholism of someone trying to blot out uncomfortable private thoughts.

I for one think it was a very big deal that our ambassador was murdered in Benghazi. In saying “I take responsibility” for it as secretary of state, Hillary should have resigned immediately. The weak response by the Obama administration to that tragedy has given a huge opening to Republicans in the next presidential election. The impression has been amply given that Benghazi was treated as a public relations matter to massage rather than as the major and outrageous attack on the U.S. that it was.

Throughout history, ambassadors have always been symbolic incarnations of the sovereignty of their nations and the dignity of their leaders. It’s even a key motif in “King Lear.” As far as I’m concerned, Hillary disqualified herself for the presidency in that fist-pounding moment at a congressional hearing when she said, “What difference does it make what we knew and when we knew it, Senator?” Democrats have got to shake off the Clinton albatross and find new blood. The escalating instability not just in Egypt but throughout the Mideast is very ominous. There is a clash of cultures brewing in the world that may take a century or more to resolve — and there is no guarantee that the secular West will win.
